When taking pictures on the lake, what type of lens filter should you use with your camera?

I mainly use a lens filter to protect the front of the lens from damage.

You will want a polarizing to minimize glare. This an assortment of UV filters available as well.

I take my cmaera to a good photography shop and try lenses until I find what I like.

A polarizing filter will get rid of the glare. Most good lenses hav UV coating already on them. A UV filter will protect the front element.
