GUN Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 Might as well open up a can of worms but am looking at a new trail camera and wondered about input from experience and price as well as battery life to determine some of the best for all around. Looked at a bunch of reviews and like the Bushnell Trophy or the SC SG5500 for the reviews and the price right now, reconyx is good but very very pricey!!!!! Lookin for any input!THANKS
GUN Posted December 21, 2009 Author Posted December 21, 2009 No replies with all the opinions out there???????????????????
Adam Bomb Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Allot of guys like and use Cuddy Back. I personally never got a trail cam. Was going to and then gave up my lease and never got one. I know Fishingmachine2 uses a Cuddy Back and loves his. Hopefully Scotty will see your post and reply.
GLF Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 I have a cuddeback, but have mixed feelings about it. Not sure if I should recommend or not recommend it.
GLF Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 I purchased mine before they came out with the IR version.
fishinmachine2 Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 I've got the Capture IR and love it very easy to use and takes a great pic!! I had over 1000 pics the last time i checked it and still had battery life left!! I just got one for my son for x-mas!!Scott
SPOONWASHER Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 I just got a Moultrie for Christmas this morning and put it out for awhile. It has a flash, video, and an lcd screen on it. So far it has taken awesome pictures (of squirrels lol) and is very easy to use!
phishtix Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 I got a moultrie for Christmas too. I haven't set it up yet cause I been too busy with all the family get togethers, but it looks like a nice cam. It has to be better than my old one. My old one is a stealth cam. It takes good pics but its a film type camera so I had to scan all my pics to load them on my computer. I'll be seeing how good it works here real soon.
salmonquest Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 I have two moultrie game spies. They take a nice picture and the video is good. The trigger is a little slow but if you position it correctly it doesn't make much difference. It lacks the infared but they run 89-99 so you could buy 2-3 for the price of more expensive models. I have had two that were faulty when I bought them but it showed right away and I returned them. The two I have now have worked flawlessly over the past three years. My dad has several more expensive models adn the IR video is cool. I know the leaf river was the worst and the Cuddeback was the best of his higher end models. I'm not sure about bushnells.
GUN Posted December 29, 2009 Author Posted December 29, 2009 yhanks guy and keep me informed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
