Priority1 Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 It sounds like a good time. I may make it over a time or two. It's too far for me to go for just 1 day. I would probably camp for a day or two prior. As the events get closer, some of us may be able to get adjacent camp sites.
fishsniffer Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 frank im sure you will have no problem getting a ride on someones boat...mine included...heck theres some here that might go pick you up:grin:
Nailer Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 Carferry from Manitowoc over to Ludington??? Is Sturgeon Bay to far for a weekend trip? LOL If we can get an event at Ludington, you Wisconsin guys can just hop a ride with us, or others. Heck if where already out, just jump ship. The clipper didn't look that high.
Priority1 Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 frank im sure you will have no problem getting a ride on someones boat...mine included...heck theres some here that might go pick you up:grin:Thanks Don. I always enjoyed my times with the West siders, on the Saginaw Bay, or Lake Michigan. This site has been great, because I got to meet a lot of VG fishermen. It's a special kind of friendship once you fish or hunt with someone.
nickoftime Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 I agree Frank my teenage son and myself have found some lifelong friend's on this website these people have also helped to create a bond through salmon fishing between my son and myself thanks everyone.
mattmishler Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 hey kevin what port do you and your son fish. i was wondering if we could get together and fish it would be nice to fish with some one my age.
nickoftime Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 That would be great we fish port sheldon and holland mostly
fishsniffer2 Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 Sounds like a lot of fun, I had a great time fishing South Haven early last year!
steeliebob Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Let the snow melt a little first. I would consider it driving downstate and hitching a ride on someones boat. My Jeep uses way too much gas to pull the boat 500 miles for a weekend plus the other expenses. But it does sound like loads of fun, if I can hitch a ride. On the other hand if St Ignace is a port that you would want to launch out of I can offer some members a ride.
jimbobber Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 I will deffinitly try to make it to a couple!
