steeliebob Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Absolutely do not travel today!!!!! We are getting a major blizzard in the UP and Northern Michigan with very high winds. Your hunting dogs would appreciate a place by the woodstove today also if you live up here.
GLF Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 It does not look fun crossing the bridge today. Webcam
HitMan Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Here in the heart of the Rockies of Colorado, we just got 32 inches since Monday morning! Our storm has now been delivered to you!!!

Just Hook'n Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Must be on VACA. Hope you are settling down for the week out there. Doesn't sound like you will be traveling anywhere (without a snow mobile) soon.
Adam Bomb Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 What a sloppy mess we had here in Kawkawlin. Had a good 4" of slop on top of the ground. Should be real nice tomorrow as it skips down into the high teens...Should be some great travel conditions. Figures, i gotta go get corn for the stove tomorrow!
HitMan Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Actually, I have lived out here since July 2008! I teach 3rd grade 8 miles from Vail in Edwards, CO. I come home in the summer and fish, while living with my parents. You wouldn't believe it, but we don't have snow days for school. No matter what the temperature is, weather is, etc. there are no snow days. Snow doesn't cancel school out here, only the I-70 does, if it is closed and no one can travel (which hasn't happened yet)! Pretty hard to believe.
fishsniffer Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 we had 3 inches of slush today and they cancelled school:grin:
Priority1 Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 I didn't have any snow on my driveway this morning. I think the strong E wind across the pond had a moderating effect right here. One of my neighbors lost about a bundle of shingles off his roof. A few miles in any direction and the snow situation was a lot worse. The wind has shifted to the SW so we will get snow tonight.
A-Fishy-Anado Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 We are near 2' in the last 24 hrs along with 30-40 mph gusts:angry2:
Phishy Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 For those of you on the udder side of dah pond...Get ready for the temperature drop...it dropped 15 degrees in two hours...come on ice!! I hope we don't get the ice pack over here like last year...
