SPOONWASHER Posted September 28, 2009 Author Posted September 28, 2009 that is a awesome deer. Congrats! Is that a H&R slug gun Thank you, and yes that is a H&R/NEF slug gun. It was originally a turkey gun then we sent it in and got a slug barrel put on it for 80$. It is a 12 ga barrel bored down to a 20 and is a tack driver! I can hit the same bullet hole at 100 yards with it:no: Also Lightfield slugs are the best for this gun.
Just Hook'n Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 What a GNARLY looking rack. AWESOME job man. MAN, I have buck fever.
SPOONWASHER Posted October 6, 2009 Author Posted October 6, 2009 What a GNARLY looking rack. AWESOME job man. MAN' date=' I have buck fever.[/quote']Thank you!! When I saw him he was about 30 yards away standing behind me in some thick trees. He was looking right at me, facing head on. I immediately pulled my hammer back and worked my way into army crawl position. I literally laid there in a stare off with him for 10 minutes waiting for him to turn. During this time I could hardly think and was shaking like a leaf. He finally made the choice to turn and give me a broadside shot, except I had a tree covering his shoulder and had to take a neck shot. Talk about buck fever!!!
