KJ pluggin Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Headed out Sunday morning at about 2:00 AM after I got done with a wedding hopping to take advantage of the full moon. On the way through the canal we dropped a couple of lines down to see if we could pick up any spawners. We couldn't find any kings that were interested but when we pulled our lines we had a fat 23" walleye. He took a mag flounder pounder, I couldn't believe it. We got out to the bank and set lines at about 3:00. From 3:00 to 5:00 we kind of picked away at them with glow flies on the riggers dn 65 and 70, and moonshines on 300 copper. From 5:00 to 6:00 the fish really turned on, riggers dn 60 to 70 and dipsie set 1.5 and 140 LOC being the main producers. 11" glow FF combos were working the best. At around 6:00 things really died off. We took one more fish at 7:15 and then pulled lines at about 9:00. We picked up most of our fish between 110 and 140 FOW. We ended the morning 13 for 15. Out best lures were a 11" chartreuse glow hotspot w/ homemade green glow fly, 11" white glow protroll w/ homemade pearl glow fly, MS mongolian beef. Went out again Sunday evening and set lines at 6:15 in 190 FOW and worked are way in towards the bank. From the time we set lines until about 8:00 we had pretty consistent fishing. Majority of the fish came on 300 copper with a MS happee meal, We also took fish on an SWR 110 dn with a MS mongolian beef, !/2 core with silver horde spoon with orange and red stripe, and a mag wire diver set on 1.5 140 LOC with 11" white glow protroll W/ green glow fly. We pulled lines at 9:00 and headed in going 6 for 6.
