Where can I get whole herring?

I would like to find some whole herring online but it seems everyone is out knutsons, salmon angler, lake michigan angler any other thoughts?

I might be wrong on this.......but I think it needs to be certified VHS free before it can be imported to Michigan.

Wow, from the lack of responses ti looks to me that there is not a heap of meat fishermen here. We were in Frankfort a couple weeks ago, and they had meat at the Tackle Box. Maybe give them a call and see if they could point you in the right direction. The lady was very helpful when we were in there picking up some lures/bait. On a side note, a few years ago a guy that was fishing with us made his own. He made it out of a couple different varieties of fish, and to my surprise it worked!!!! Good luck with your search

sounds like a good idea to me perch are about the same size or some big sucker minows

gander mnt. in grand rapids has frozen vac. packed herring, about 8 bucks for a package.

thats where I got it before insta launch thats where I will be this weekend so I hope they still have some whole I got strips last time there.
