GLF Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 Get ready to bleed. The torrential rain in our area has resulted in a huge number of mosquito-breeding habitats, areas that already are producing swarms of the pesky insects."It's amazing. There was instant mosquitoes. The eggs out there just hatched right away," said Lee Mitchell, biologist with the Toledo Area Sanitary District, which is responsible for mosquito control in Lucas County. Those eggs had been lying dormant just waiting for some water to hatch, he said. But for all the "instant" mosquitoes out there now, Mr. Mitchell has worse news.http://www.toledoblade.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060623/NEWS32/606230357
