Kings Around
Well after a 10 day hiatus from the big lake to take my wife away for our Anniversary and getting blown off the water last weekend we were back at it on the 24th. Fishing was a bit tougher than what I would have liked, but we still managed to go 7 for 11 with some great clients from Arkansas. Our best depth of water was 100 to 130 feet. We managed to work a little band of fish that only seemed hungry if we were trolling west. A little boy blue (with white glow beads) Horsefly behind a big white paddle accounted for 2 hits. A Big Green Splatterback E-chip paddle with a SeaWeed Horsefly accounted for 2 more hits. A Blue Moon Glow Horsefly behind a 8 inch Yellow Killer e-chip also accounted for 2 hits. All the other hits were on Nailer Plugs. An couple old green nailer plugs (very similar to the new Green Mahi Glow with Black latterback) accounted for the other 5 hook-ups. We ended up with 5 kings, 1 coho and 1 laker on the day. Fishing will be good for awhile, so go get some!
