Sno09board Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Picked up 16 fish in 3 trips over the last three days. My best depth of water was 160-180 and the trips were all sort of slow. The fish didn't seem to be too interested in spoons. The "highlight" of the three trips was the 15# laker we caught this morning. I've never seen one this big. Do they usually get this big around here?
Adam Bomb Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Wow, nice laker. Most of the ones ive caught are around 3-5# and on up to about 10#. Thats a good laker if you ask me. Theres lots bigger out there, but you dont see too many brought in that size. At least i dont.
Rob Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 very nice laker I have trouble getting them over 20 inchs
stel Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 We got a 15 pound laker out of New Buffalo this wkd also. It was chaos on the boat while fighting that fish.
Paulywood Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 2 years ago we had an 80 degree day in October and fished out of Holland. Ended up releasing 3 lakers over 10 lbs w/ the biggest being close to 20 lbs. Of course, the season was closed. But that is a pig of a laker.
GLF Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Nice job of catching Mark. Great picture with the girls and the fish!
