I finally got my new 200 H/O E-Tec rigged this weekend and i have never been so impressed by an out board. I am still in the computer monitored 10hr break in period which retards the timing, but still pushed my 24' sea swirl at 43mph! This unit is incredibly quiet at full throttle allowing you to still be able to have a conversation without yelling. At idle it runs 600rpm and you can hardly tell it is running. I have not ever heard even a 4 stroke of this hp this quiet. We took a 3 hr pleasure cruise for the maiden voyage and the fuel gauge never moved.

Bombadier uses this same etech technology in their new snowmobiles. For a two stroke, how do you find the exhaust fumes from this unit?

Nice lookin' engine! If you love it now, you are still going to love it years from now! And you sure can't beat that fuel economy.

We had the wind at our backs and i was trolling with the big motor for a bit and never had any fumes at all....or at least that i noticed.

If i didn't already know this was a 2 stroke....you would have a hard time convincing me that it is not a 4 stroke.

I would have went with 2 of them on the back of that sweet ride... nothing like getting to the fishing spot faster...
