GLF Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 I have boated 132 fish so far this year. I had one lake trout with a scar, and did not see any sea lamprey on any of the fish! Cudo's to the DNR for keeping them under control!
Boltman Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 mike we caught a Laker in Elk Rapids with a large lamphrey scare, that's the last one we've seen so far, but then again I haven't boated that many fish... Where do you find the time Man...
Paulywood Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 I haven't seen a lamprey this year either. I think I've only seen one with a scar. The DNR has really done a good job on handling the lamprey issue.
tangled mess Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 We have caught five fish with lampreys on them i the last 3 weeks
S. Yonker Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 With the thermocline closer to bottom, I think more fish will be susceptible to lamprey attacks. These pics of a laker were taken on 08-07-09 off of Grand Haven.
j1musser Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 I got a nice king about 2 weeks ago with a lamprey on it out of SH. I think thats the only one this year for me. BTW thats fishing on all other boats which thankfully is higher than my Nee Hi numbers;)
tltorrice Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 We got a Salmon yesterday with a lampray on it from Manistee.
