GLF Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 I was joined by Rudy, Ken, Mike, and Steve today for a trip out of Muskegon. We ended up 9 for 9. 8 kings and 1 coho. 2 of our fish were over 18, with the biggest pushing 20! Things started off with a BANG, and then after a short time we were washing baits. This is what we took fish on today. 2 on a NITRO Green Fireball 1 on a NITRO Natural Born Killer 1 on a Killer Dolphin 1 on a Silver Horde Ace HI mother of pearl 1 on a Sivler Horde Blue Mylar 2 on an 11" Protroll Double Pearl Fishscale with a Siggs Rigs Brushed Stainless 1 on an 11" Protroll Blue, with silver prism tape, and a Siggs Rigs Aqua Glow Pulse fly. Here is Rudy, Mike, Ken and Steve with 8 of our 9. Rudy Ken Steve Mike

GLF Posted August 8, 2009 Author Posted August 8, 2009 OK.....Since the Great Lakes Fisherman's Challenge is cancelled, I will fill in the blanks to my report.Thursday we fished in front of Duck Lake. All of the fish came from 120-150FOW.Full cores with 4oz Dive Bombs took 2 fish.Riggers set at 87 went 3 times.Rigger set at 110 went once.Wire diver on 1 with a mag ring set at 250' went twice.wire diver on 1 with a mag ring, set at 200' went once. Some how, I managed to miss the nets. I shut down in the dark between 2 sets of nets. I had "heard" they were further South. We went on a West troll and hooked up with a couple of fish. Then we turned South and hooked up with a few more. Turned the boat to the inside to head North and ALMOST put it in a net. We went around this net and continued North, where we found another net.The fish gods were looking out for me this day.
