As we become more familiar with invasive species in our area, the next question that arises may be, "What is being done to stop them?" By nature, invasive species are extremely difficult to control - they are adaptive, lack natural predators, reproduce rapidly, and thrive in disturbed ecosystems. There have been success stories with efforts to control certain invaders, while we fight an ongoing battle with many others. Let's take a look at some of the projects in place today.
