You have gotten all of your honey do list done for the week, and your wife says you can fish on Saturday if you are back in time to take her mother to her weekly bingo match.

Just as you are starting to pull the lines after a very mediocre day of fishing, things start popping, it is going to get hot and heavy. But you know if you don't leave immediately, your mother in law will not make it to bingo.

What do you do?

It is easier to ask forgivness then permission. My wife on the other hand knows if the fish are biting I am not gonna make it back in time for my own funeral. First thing is shut off the cell phone and lose your watch you need to pay attention to those rods.

Tell your wife you called your mother in law and asked if it was ok to skip the bingo so you could fish more and she replied "yes, have a good time". And if it ever comes up that she never said that say "Honey she is getting old and can't remember everything"

Or, "I had a few Beer's and don't think I should drive her"

Wow, what a question.. First I would have never committed to the time limit, bad enough you to have a fish Limit.....and its always better to blame the mother in law for not answering her phone when you called........If you called.
