ELLIOT Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 Left the dock a little after 7 pm. went 2 for 3 in some pretty ugly conditions.... We yanked rods hastily a little after 9 p.m. when we noticed sparks jumping from metal on the reels to the rod holders:eek::eek: things that took fish: 74' down on cocktail spoon in 85 fow took one and lost one. 65' down on happy meal in 85 fow took one.
Nailer Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 Conditions on the weekends this year have not been good. Nice try though.

GLF Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 Its not fun getting shocked when you are reeling the lines in.Nice job Jay.
Just Hook'n Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 I had that once this year on Mikes boat where we chose to come in and pulling linees we got a little "charge". Not too much fun. But hey, you got a few fish in the boat. Nice work.
Adam Bomb Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 I can relate. Electricity on the boat totally SUCKS!!! And it never fails when that happens a rod will go off...Glad you got outta there without too much trouble..and hey, you even boated a few fish. Not a bad morning all in all.
anthonyyost Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 Hey, that electrical charge might help attract the fish:grin:
