GUN Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 Fishing still a bit slow but shows of improvement in the future. Fish were between 90 and 120 FOW. Fishing down 55-80 on riggers and divers set back about 150-200. best baits were Stinger stingrays in Blue green killer dolphin, green wiggle, Jager bomb, and Pro-troll green/green 8" spinner with purple bead No-see-um from Rapture trolling flies. Had a dozen bites but only 7 captures. ( 6 kings and a Trout). Might have been a little better fishing but it was had to controll speed in the canin' winds and waves and the sheep watter everywhere you looked.GUN
GLF Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 Nice job Phil. Are you runnig any trips out of Muskegon this weekend?
Just Hook'n Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 Thank you sir. Appreciate the reports as always.
A-Fishy-Anado Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 GunNice work! The wiggle colors been good this year?? Only have the blue and haven't had much action on it yet, but haven't had it out much either
GUN Posted July 17, 2009 Author Posted July 17, 2009 Moved trips for this weekend-- small craft advisory and tough fishing makes it even tougher for us to catch em' in big water and absoloutely no fun for the clients. So what can you do? Fun fish for a couppy --- NOT. Have fun to all this weekend and I'll be back on the water in a couple.
