Fishwhisperer Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Well at least the meat was put to good use. I would like to see hunters have more of an opportunity to harvest nusense geese... Much like the special deer hunts.
Rayman96 Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 These geese know where to avoid the hunters. They live among us in protected areas where we can't hunt. They don't migrate until late if at all, when most hunting seasons are over.Climate change and farming practices have allowed them to flourish. Hunter numbers are in decline. These are things we can't change.Relocation isn't viable with geese who can fly miles in minutes. Catching for food, to feed the less fortunate is a good second option.
