slickwater Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 The walleye fishing was horrible on Sun. Only managed 3 walleye and 5 sheephead in 9 hours of fishing. We started in 30 fow then moved out 6 miles from the launch and then moved into 22 fow and that is were we had the most action. The walleyes cam on harresses in white blade red beads, and blueberry muffin blade purple and blue beads. That sheep is going to taste so good.
slickwater Posted July 6, 2009 Author Posted July 6, 2009 I did talk to a couple guys and they didn't do very well either. One said he fished on Sat. and got a 2 man limit and then fished yesterday by himself and only got one.
Adam Bomb Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Yup, been hearing its slowing down up there. I believe the fish are moving south. We're starting to get more consistant action on the southern portions of the bay....in areas we already should have been fishing for over a month now!!!..Its about time.
Priority1 Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 At least you got a few. I haven't fished since Friday. I probably will not be out until Wed or Thurs.
GLF Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 9 hours is a long day. Sure as heck beats being at work! You will probably box out in an hour next trip. At least you got a few. I haven't fished since Friday. I probably will not be out until Wed or Thurs. The walleyes "thank you" for not being out.
slickwater Posted July 8, 2009 Author Posted July 8, 2009 Well I probably won't be going back to the bay this year. The salmon should be up this far north. So we will be starting to go after them.
