JWheeler Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 Hey guys I am staying in Tawas Thursday & Friday night and am looking to fish out there. Didn't catch any walleye there last year, but did get some cats and a steely. Just looking for any help that you guys can give to me. If you don't want to broadcast it send me a PM, and I'll greatly appreciate it.
Priority1 Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 Try the reef area. Outside the reef if the water is stained, and inside if it's clear. See you in AuGres.
Singing Bridge Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 try the 30' breakline from buoy #2 down toward the gypsum dock to the South. Buoy #2 is straight out from Tawas Point.
JWheeler Posted July 1, 2009 Author Posted July 1, 2009 See you in AuGres. I may fish Au Gres on Sunday. Tawas for a change would be good. I'm going to be right there, and I think Ashley would love to go for a boat ride. Bringing the dog too, if you hear a couple of husky's howling, it just me the jerk!!!1:lol:
JWheeler Posted July 5, 2009 Author Posted July 5, 2009 Did fish Friday morning & Saturday morning by myself. Friday I had nothing, bunch of bait and fish on the finder but no takers. Also there were no other boats out there until I was coming in a little after 8am. Only had limited amount of time to fish as I was there for family fun, not fishing. Had a riot with the wifey and Ashley, played in the sand and lake Huron and had big smiles with lots of laughs all day. Fished saturday morning also. 4 color leadcore with an orange/pink spoon took a coho about 5-6lbs. Just put the color out, sat down at the helm, took a drink of coffee and a bite of my pop tart turned around and the 4 color was thumping. I'll take it:D There was another boat out there with me yesterday, but he was a lot further out. Wonder if they were getting lakers or salmon or ??"??what?? See you jokers next weekend in Au Gres!!!
Skeeter Done!! Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 Sorry to hear you didnt catch much.. Augres has slowed down some but they are still there..limits are not a problem...I went out this morning from tawas and caught 9 in the same area as you were in "I think" how fast are you trolling?? I was running about .6-.8 to get them to bite ... was really flat this morn.. I then trailer to Augres and took a couple guy out and they got there limit but went waaay south.. 25 fow. and slow was the ticket there too.
