heading out tonight to see if the reports are true that they have been catching some. i saw 4 with my own 2 eyes sunday that a friend caught south of the pier heads in st joe in 40 fow dont know if they were just a little early or not so i'll report back tomorrow or late tonight. good luck fishing ya'll

was out on the pier untill 430 am water temp was 50.1 to 51.3 degress never had a single tap but on a god note there was tons of alwives gathered around the pier so time will tell.

Dan, It's always fun to try. Maybe next time will be the time. Good to hear the Alewives are in. I thought I may have seen a few this Sunday, but wasn't sure.

They should be in heavier when we get a good east wind to push the warmer water out.

Warmer water? The beach temps have been in the high 40s to low 50s for a month now.

I've been out a few times the last couple weeks. Some are being caught here and there but not as awesome as some of the reports that have been circulating make it sound. I think sometimes people see one guy out on the end of the peir catch one and by the end of the day rumer has it they're getting limits.

We're getting ready to head out again here in a bit. My son is taking me fishing for fathers day.

Don't even care if we catch anything. Just happy to go fishing with my son :)
