Boltman Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 Has anyone who has a Fish hawk Probe had to calibrate the temp settings? My probe is reading right around 5* depth temp, thinking this might be a little off, please let me know how you did the calibrations for the temp settings?

My probe is reading right around 5* depth temp, thinking this might be a little off, please let me know how you did the calibrations for the temp settings? Is this the X-4 or the old style(840)? Unfortunately, my directions for doing this with an 840 are on the boat. When setting checking your temp of the probe, make sure it is at the same depth of the temp transducer on the back of your boat.
dipsey diver Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 yes,I had to reset the top tranducer temp setting it was off about 4 degrees. my lowarance sonar was always reading hotter than the fishhawk one. the probe seems to be alright. I have the new x-4 system. its very easy to recalabrate, just hit the set button till the parameter you want to set comes up and use the up and down arrows to change the reading.
