flyman013 Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 (edited) Sorry for the late post. When we go for our fishing week, we rough it. The smallmouth bass was slow this year for the opening day. The water is still cool and the bass are holding close as they can to structure. In another couple of weeks, water should warm up for the bass to come in shallow. Live minnows work the best. Jigging spoons and plastic minnow immitations work well too. The walleye came out of a river mouth near the Port Austin Breakwall. He took a gold J11 jointed Rapala. Can't wait to eat him! If I did this right, you should have some pictures to enjoy! Edited June 1, 2009 by GLF Removed non-working images
GLF Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Nice catch Peter. The other two images where not working, so I removed them from the post and the gallery. You will have to upload them again.
