JWheeler Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 28-32fow. Went 15/18 on the eyes today. Fish were biting a little bit of everything. 1.4-2.2 mph.3 color leadcore with the buckeye scorpion spoon,4 color leadcore chicken wing scorpion spoon,DR 1-1/2' off the bottom OPS scorpion spoon,BB with harness 45-90' backnorthport nailer c36 prototype off the DR,5 color with fishlander silver confusion harnessIt was real nice all morning. But once the wind started coming so did the waves. One of my buddies on board today was a 6yr old. He was having a ball catching all of these walleye. When it started to build he looked a little pale.
fishsniffer2 Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 Good job jason, there is not much worse that getting sick out on the water.
Priority1 Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 GJ Jason. I love fishing with kids. You were on them good. Your radio is still acting up. Deep Six It Jason. I fished with Big John B. aboard his boat. The only trouble with that, his boat is rack stored, and he can't be in the water much before 8:30 By the time we set lines it was 9:00-9:15, and then it started to blow shortly afterwards. We picked up 9 drifting in the tough conditions and called it a day. I like to be in the water by 7:00 especially on the weekends, or when bad weather is coming.
JWheeler Posted May 31, 2009 Author Posted May 31, 2009 Once the little guy was not feeling it, I decided to end the day on a good note. Packed up and headed in. Wanted to make sure he had a good experience. He didn't do any chumming, and was happy to be back to the dock. Shortly after I got everything put away, and we got on the road the wind really picked up and it started to downpoor. Talk about good timing. It was nasty!
Indybleck Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 Good job Jason, its priceless to see a kids face light up when the fish are biting.
