DIRTY DOG Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Wow, this weekend started out on fire and ended in a brake down. I started out friday evening with rdfishin and a couple freinds from work by setting lines in 100 fow and on a sw. troll and ending the nite around 9pm going 12 for 15 all kings sorry no pic of this one some of the stuff that worked were as follows green fire ball nito stingray on a full core mag green dolphin silver streak on a 12 coler core moon shine double trouble 65 down on a rigger blue bubble set up 140 out on a low diver green bubble on a hi diver out 200 area 51 nitro as a slider 55 down on a rigger metalic glow frog silver steak on a 15 color core{HOT WE RAN 2} SATERDAY MORNING I left the ramp a 6 am with a friend from work and his 2 sons that have never fished for salmon, NOW THIS WAS A BLAST. Watching these 2 boys catch there very first ever salmon and BIG LAKER. We ran the same exact spread as the nite before and ended the morning at 12:30 going 21 for 25, with 2 coho, 1 stealhead, 1 17 lb laker and 17 kings from 8 to 19.6 lbs {3 were shakers that were released} Here are a few pics from Saturday. This is the boys with 1 of many doubles that morning. And this is the result, a 14 lb king and a near 17 lb king. And this is the catch. Now for sunday I left the dock around the same time as on Saturday and headed for the same area as the 2 previous day's with rdfishin and Doug from the day before. We had to work a little harder for the catch, but ended the day 13 for I think 19 with 1 stealhead, 1 coho and 11 kings (1 shaker) released. The spread did not change the entire weekend (we ran the same spoons and flashers the whole time), but the fish continued to move out and down. Sunday we ended the morning finding our fish in 180 to 200 fow. Here is a pic of the catch. Well as i said, a BREAK DOWN, did occur, Monday morning I arrived at the ramp a 6 am and found out that i need to replace a tilt motor Oh well, im only going to be down 'til next weekend, i hope, as this is what the mechanic told me. Thank's to all of the people I had as a crew this weekend it was A BALL!

Priority1 Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 WTG Terry and crew. I like fishing with kids. I hope the Dog is back up and running quickly. It's always something when you own a boat.
Sea-Mac Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Nice Job Terry and crews! I've lost my boat for at least a week as well. Bro in law has it up to L. Gogebic, been having nightmares of it not coming back in one piece.
bluedevil Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Great Job Terry.. Its nice to see others getting the next generation of fisherman hooked.. The best thing I love about salmon fishing is taking newbie's out (especially kids) and watching there face when that fish takes a big run. Its worth every penny I have spent on gear.
A-Fishy-Anado Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Nice work terrry...once again! Man you are on the fish:eek: you are pushing last years totals already!! keep up the great reports
