Satisfaxion_Gauranteed Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 In preparation for the South Haven tournament, we went and fished Friday 5/15. Our typical spread was 12 lines, 4 riggers, 150' copper, 300' copper, 2 half cores, 2 quarter cores, and 2 dipseys. We finished the day 12 for 16, but threw back two illegal length lakers and one other legal laker. Electric blueberry, green and blue dolphins, purple frogs, and just about anything purple and blue hit. 300' of copper and the dipseys fired the most frequently.NW/SE trolls worked best. We were about 4 miles north of South Haven. 80 to 95fow with presentations 45-65' down working best. Speed was 2.5mph at the ball. Final count was 3 lakers(thown back), 7 kings(7lbs to 16lbs), and 2 steelys(7-8lbs). Fishing remained awesome throughout the tournament!! We, unfortunately, had multiple crew member health issues and ended up not fishing it, but the weigh-in was very impressive for this time of year and the best at the South Haven event I've ever seen.Good fishing,
