Jim F Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Went fishing out of Saugatuk on Wednesday in the morning. Set lines at 8:30 AM in about 70 FOW and trolled into the waves for about 1 1/2 hours without much to show. We worked out to about 110 FOW 48 on the surface and 43 40 down on the probe. Picked up the first fish on the turn to go back with the waves which was a King on a mountain dew spoon. Picked up 3 more Kings, a Ho, and a Steelie on the way back. The Steelie came on a half core while we were pulling lines. In all we were only out about 3 1/2 hours getting a little practice before the South Haven tournament this weekend. Goldy Hawn's sister took a king on the out down 42 down---not sure what we caught the others on. One King was nearly 18 pounds on full core. Weather permitting we are going to give it a try again tomorrow. I will try to remember the camera this time. The two we lost were on sliders on the out downs.
Priority1 Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 WTG Jim. It sounds like you had a good few hrs on the water.
inreeltrouble Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 good job looks like your getting dialed in for the tourny.
