Sno09board Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 This report stings a little as my first but I thought I'd share anyway. 1 for 5 tonight from 100 to 120 FOW off Mona Lake. Fish bit on blue Fishcatcher with white glow tape and blue bubble fly, 150 back on a Dipsy (3 setting) and 55 down on a rigger. 2 fish bit on a large pearl coyote paddle with green fly 180 back on a Dipsy (3 setting). 1 bite on a double orange crush on a 3 color core. Trolling 2.2-2.5 on GPS, all bites on an East troll. Hope we keep more hooked next time!
bluedevil Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Thanks for the report and dont feel bad. We have all been there before. I have noticed over the years that the spring bite is weird that way. One day you can go 13 for 15 and the next be 3 for 15.
fishsniffer2 Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Good job mark! You kept the skunk out of the box!
Nailer Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Welcome aboard Mark. High quality sharp hooks will help keep those fish on.On the one charter I was on, the Captain sharpened his hooks after every fish.
Just Hook'n Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Nice work. Some days you win some days you lose. At least there was action.
inreeltrouble Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 very nice Mark, way to go on the catch. Nice to meet you at the launch in muskegon last sat.
