Just Hook'n Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 What a nice night on the water. It was flat, at least compared to Saturday morning. We ended up 3 for 3. 2 lakers and one coho. Probably quit to early (7:15), but it was a school night. What worked was the following. south troll seemed to be the right speed with no bags, so we tried that for a a while. Also thought we should go south out of PS. We did find water 50fow 35 down that was about 47 degrees in pockets. 3 color went first with lemon ice. 5 color went next with 42second. lastly 3 color with either a ludington special or a glo lemon. Either way it was green and yellow. All fish between 50-60fow when the temp pockets showed up. Don't have the picture yet. Lakers were 7-8 lbs, coho was a little guy, maybe 3lbs. Fish totals for 2009: trips: 2 coho: 2 lakers: 2 kings: 0 browns: 0
GLF Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 Nice job Mark! Did you hit those fish after you turned back North?
Just Hook'n Posted May 5, 2009 Author Posted May 5, 2009 We hit the first one headed south. North troll was FAST, but it gave me a chance to get out the brand new drift socks. WOW, both bags out slowed me down nearly 1.5 mph. They did a great job. The second laker and the ho were caught on the north troll. Thanks for the hint.
