GLF Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 Sandbar across Braddock outlet traps hundreds without lake access(June 9, 2006) — GREECE — From the deck of their 31-foot boat, Tony and Kathy Castiglione can look at the open waters of Lake Ontario, but they can't get there from their dock slip on Braddock Bay. That's because the Greece couple's Sea Ray Sundancer is one of hundreds of boats confined to the bay, cut off from lake access by a buildup of sand across the bay's mouth. Because of the sand, the channel to the lake is less than 2 feet deep, so shallow that it's causing watercraft to run aground and taking a bite out of business at the town-owned Braddock Bay Marina on East Manitou Road. Read Story.

They had issues in the past of boats not being able to get up to it.Did they ever dredge the river so the bigger boats can get up to it? This being the Kalamazoo River....what about PCB's?
