Nailer Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 I love when they forecast 5 days in advance, when the 2 day forecast is rarely accurate. I have no sports events this weekend, (senior prom). I want to plan a trip. Was half thinking of the Walleye opener at midnight Friday in Muskegon, but with all the Ho Ho action South Haven sounds fun. To many choices?
j1musser Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 I will be looking to fish if possible. If the waves are like that ill be lookin for a ride.
glnmiller Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 I might be trying South Haven this weekend, sounds like the fish can be found there.

I had to work this last Saturday morning, but ended up taking a bike ride up to Captain Lou's where I saw your boat and Dirty Dog coming in under the lift bridge. It looked like a gorgeous day. I was jealous :-)

The water temps are to cold up there yet. What you find this weekend, probably will not be there on the 9th.
Fishwhisperer Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 What about a Sunday outing? The forecast is a bit more favorable.

trollperchsand? Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 I can't seem to find the extended Marine forcast link. I think someone posted it, but if someone could post it again I would appreciate it. I'm picking up the rest of my rod holders in the morning and will be battle ready. I'm hoping it sets down a bit, I'm planning on, (weather permitting), fishing Sunday. I was able to get out last Saturday for a late evening fish but It seems you guys had already caught all the fish that were left in South Haven Saturday. We ended up landing one Greasy Lake Trout which was released. It was nice to get one in the box even if it was just for a few seconds. It's been a long couple of months leading up to actually getting to fish.
