Fishwhisperer Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Fished with a friend today out of South Haven. Heading out we seen Fishsniffer, GLF & Dirty Dog heading in. We set up a 6 rod spread just outside of piers and headed SW. Within the first 15 minutes we had lost the first two fish 35' behind the boat. In the next 10 minutes we pulled a double and released the two Lakers back unharmed. Once we hit 60 FOW water we went due South. Didn't have another bite until we made the turn back north at the plant. Then we boxed a small King. Then nothing till we missed one just south of the piers in 55 FOW. Then we made the turn in. We finished the troll in catching two more Lakers and losing two more too. Finished 5/10 = 4 Lake Trout released and 1 King. I believe that four of the five fish lost to be Lakers. They just couldn't stay hooked to the Thin Fish.Blue/Org Thin Fish on two color took the King and missed another fish.Org J-9 on three color took a fish.Red/Gold Thin Fish on a two color was 1/4.Org/Chart spoon on the rigger took a fish.Glow Bloody Nose on the rigger took a fish.Org spoon on the rigger lost one fish. The flat line off a board did not produce for us.
DIRTY DOG Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 nice job randy , it sure was a nice day on the lake
GLF Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Nice job Randy! They were still biting when we pulled lines and came in.
j1musser Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Nice catch Randy. Apparentley we have to fish seperate to catch em now!
Priority1 Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 WTG Randy. Those darn Lakers like to roll sometimes, and that can result in lost fish. The fish have to win a few battles, or it wouldn't be fun.
