pulpfishin Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 Set lines at 10:30 a.m. at the pier heads, not a tap until we reached the A frames about 12:30. Went 4-5 total, 4 coho, did not see number 5, better fish though, came unbuttoned about 50 foot behind the boat. Decided to call it a day and make the long greuling trip back at about 2:30. Bumby ride to say the least! 4 to 5 footers with the occasional 8 mixed in for good measures. Fish were as follows:1- Dipsy 20' out on 3 setting with an orange Rapala X-rap.2- Brad's Thin Fish orange/black 100' behind inline board.3- Brad's Thin Fish orange/black 100' behind inline board.4- Dipsy 20' out on 3 setting with a "00" dodger with blue and green peanut. The one we lost was on the Thin Fish 100' behind the inline board. All fish came in 18-25 fow

monark Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 We went 2 for 4 while fishing the Brown Blast yesterday. Both fish landed were coho. All fish/strikes came on boards 75-100 ft back. Red with black stripe thinfish and Silver/black Rapala countdowns. That was some rough water! Probably the limit for my 16 ft. Monark. This is our first spring fishing the lake out of a boat but were starting to figure it out:D
pulpfishin Posted April 12, 2009 Author Posted April 12, 2009 Nice job Larry. Saturday afternoon's seas were about the limit for our 18 footer. I saw some 24's and bigger limping in. Cool picture, my wife would murder me if I brought fish like that into the house!
spoonfed Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 we came back in at 12:30 and it was a lumpy ride from the cook plant!
silver one Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Nice Kieth Was at St. Joe Myself and had the same issue. That wind was wicked. It was not a fun trip back to the harbor when you 5 to 6 mi south and have to head north into 4 to 5 footers with 15 to 20 knot winds with gust up to 30.
Adam Bomb Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Great fish guys and some good eats too...Cant beat them coho on the grill!!!
