DKuiper Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 Had 9 lines set at 9:15. Started at pump house trolling south in about 15 FOW. Got to the junk cars without a tap. Many boats out. We didn't see a net in the water for the first hour. Pulled everything up ran down to the chalets. Fished that area for about an hour without a hit. Even got out to 40 FOW. Marked a few fish, but no action. Trolled back into the chalet area, the same spot we had no action before gave up 5 for 8 in about an hour and a half. All fish came on tiger red thinfins off big boards, 75' back on one side and 100' back on the other, except one off rigger set at 5'. Most came in 15-20 FOW. Had to leave at 2 PM. Missed one on a bright dark red tadpolly, one miss came on jointed orange rapala the other miss was the tiger red thinfin. Much garbage in the water. Caught 2 plastic bags, one long yellow ribbon and an oak leaf. Great day on the lake. I think some boats did a lot better than we did, but we had a nice day. Looks like maybe next Tuesday or Wednesday before I get back out. Good luck this weekend to all.Duane
Boltman Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 Wow, good job having patience and landing them on the way back, sorry to hear about the garbage in the water, might want to report that to the Coast Guard. The spring run off has been heavy and might be collecting a lot of garbage along its way...What NO PICS of the fish...????????
