4 Michigan markets will lose daily newspapers, as ailing industry tries to cope

Daily newspapers will become a thing of the past for readers in four Michigan markets, with issues being printed only three days a week in Flint, Saginaw and Bay City, and twice weekly in Ann Arbor. The industry overall has been hunting for ways to counter a crippling decline in advertising.

I have read the Saginaw News most every day since grade school. The last year or so the pages have gotten smaller, and fewer. It's a sad time. They used to have stock listings but that was done away with a couple of years ago. I guess computers and live TV get the new out better and faster. One of my first jobs was delivering the news.
