Fishwhisperer Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 I have seen the line of new rods that are hitting the market this year. What i didn't realize is that they are discontinuing a couple of the old lines. I really love the large tip eye on the 7' lead core rods (MODEL CP-LC-70 CLASSIC PRO LEADCORE TROLLING SERIES). They, along with the Blue Diamond roller rods are being discontinued. Just thought I would give those that have found a rod that they are pleased with a heads-up. I'm working on getting my hands on both. Nothing wrong with new stuff, I just really like what I already have.
Boltman Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Well thats good to know, I also looked into convector rolle rods, wow are they expensive,3x as much as a Blue Diamond.... Well they are too rich for my blood.
fishsniffer Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 i broke 2 of the blue diamond roller rods last year...i wonder if im not the only one that had this problem
Boltman Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 OK that sucks, how'd they break Dude, and what we're you pulling in with them? These rods seem strong, and your the first to tell me that they broke on you.
Line Dancin Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 I have two 10 and two 8 1/2 footers and no problem with them in the five years i have had them. Where did you find they are being discontinued they still show them as actice on the website.
Boltman Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Yes I just seen where my fishing shop just took delivery of a new load of them, even sent for 2 8'6" rods from Milwaukee for me. Put 2 convector 45's on them, can't wait to us them.
