GLF Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Todays cannonballs are plastic coated. Back in the 70's my father use to paint his cannonballs. Who has room on their boat to have 15 different colored cannonballs? This gave me an idea for this new product I designed and developed. This is an attractor that you add to your down rigger cable. This tracks through the water straight and creates minimal blowback. It is made out of stainless steel, and is available in several colors. Both sides are the same color. They are 12" long and 4 1/2" wide near the front. The single hole on top is where you attach your downrigger cable. It has two holes on the bottom to adjust for blowback. The front hole is for shallow settings(60' or less), and the back hole is for deeper settings(60' or deeper). The hole on the tail is for an add on pinch pad release. The colors shown are Blue Prism, Pearl, and Green Prism.
1mainiac Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Looks cool mike will they work on a probe like my depth raider?
GLF Posted January 19, 2009 Author Posted January 19, 2009 Looks cool mike will they work on a probe like my depth raider? It should work fine with your probe. The probe needs to be connected to the coated cable for it to work properly. Then attach the attractor below your probe.
Sea-Mac Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Pretty cool Mike. I bet if you made some of these with a bit of an angle towards the tail ends they would also work to help carry the weights off to the side a little.

Just Hook'n Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Let me know if you need someone to try them out for a test run. I volunteer to try every color.
Fishwhisperer Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Not to steal this thread or try to bash your idea and/or product, but why is the most common color of ball black?
Adam Bomb Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Check out these babies.http://fishertackle.com/jackinfo.htmlMy buddy John makes those. He actually won a tournament and placed pretty high in a few others using them. He also has walleye.
