boomerang Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 I want to tie a couple peices of core togther, my question is what the best way to do this?? make the splice using a peice of mono and tie with the willis knot??? or can i use another knot and just tie the cores togther without the mono splice??? Thanks!!! and Happy Thanksgiving EVERY one!!!
JWheeler Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 I asked another fishing buddy the same thing this summer and he suggested exactly what you're thinking.
1mainiac Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 I use a dbl uni it has not failed yet pull out about 6in of lead from each peice and tie the knot. I have done the mono and willis knot and it sux but just my opinion.
Paulywood Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 I think that a Uni to Uni would be better. Not sure but I'm pretty sure you could use a blood or nail know also.
GUN Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 double uni knot - very easy to tie and works better than the willis knot when it comes to splicing into new core!!!!!!!!!!!!!!GUN
