DKuiper
Went back to the same spot as we fished last week, 60 FOW, SSw of Bear Lake Channel but was by myself today. Three other boats were fishing the same area, hopefully from the info I gave last week. Anchored on my way point from last week and immediatly started catching perch. I was by myself and fished from 10 AM to 2 PM. Sometimes the action was continous, and then a short lull, and then they'd be back. Ended up with my limit of 50. A bit cold on the fingers but worth the minor pain. Great catching. Fish ran from 8" to 11" with most in the 9 to 9 1/2" range. Minnows tipped on a perch pounder fly. Did not have to throw many back. Hoping for a break in the weather so I can get back out there! Great lively minnows from Adams Angler and Archer in Norh Muskegon. Not one dead one floating in the bucket all day. DKuiper
The guys at the bait shop did not think that the whitefish had started yet, but they weren't sure and had not been over to the piers at night to check.
