bluedevil Posted May 28, 2006 Posted May 28, 2006 Hit the water with Larry (RCH), my dad, and myself at about 6pm. Headed south into the 9's and 10's cause we heard they did good there that morning but it must have been just a morning bite area cause we could not get them to go. We did mark a crap load of fish and bait in the area but they just would not hit nothing. We did boat one Laker around 5lbs that we released but that was the only bump all evening. Planed on hitting that area again this morning but the heavy downpour kept us in bed. Good thing is that I discovered that my float switch on the bilge pump was stuck. There had to have been 10-15 gallon's of water in the bottom of my boat this morning from all the rain last night:eek:
GLF Posted May 28, 2006 Posted May 28, 2006 Nice to hear the baitfish are up there already. Sorry to hear the fishing was not any better. Thanks for the report!
ratcityhooker Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 Thanks for the boat ride Matt.Have a hunch that the storm front coming in shut them down.It knocked our power out for a minute about 4am.Heck of a light show.Heard down at Capt Chucks that the bite was starting to pick up Sunday afternoon.Larry
