Looking to put some decent perch in the freezer before winter, any tips on where in the Saginaw Bay we can find them. Looking to go this weekend just after a morning duck hunt.:

I have been out a few times, but found them to be scattered. I will fish them into November, but I haven't hit the mother lode yet. Every time out they were hitting real light. You have to be right on them. A very light jigging action sometimes coaxes the bite. I have taken some decent size perch, the largest just under 14 inches. AuGres either side of the shipping channel. Next trip I'm going to try it off the weeds near the nets. That is just a hunch.

Frank, Thanks for the tip, we fished Saturday out of Augres, went East to where several boats were in 40' FOW, caught 23, 2-12" to 14" and several 8" plus the rest too small, at least we got a meal out of it. I sure miss the days of 100 to 200 fish a day.

At least the walleye season was great after boating some 400 walleys this season we won't starve this winter.

Hope to see ya on the water sometime.
