Fished with Mike(Redeagle) last night out of Holland going 7/10. 5 kings, a steelie and a big 12 lb. laker. 130-155 ft. of water early and 105 ft. as the sun went down. Here's what went:

Braid dipsey on 3 175' back w/ chrome/redhead J-plug-small steelie

Braid Dipsey on 3 175' back w/ green scaly back J-plug-2 small kings

Wire Dipsey on 3 200' back w/ blue slick/glow 8" Pro-Chip/Mirage Siggs Fly-small king

SWR 105' down w/ Purple Glow Frog-Big Laker and small king

SWR 65' down w/ Purple Glow Frog-small king

Missed fish on the SWR 105' down, wire dipsey 225' back w/ 11" Double Pearl Fishscale Pro-Troll and Blue/Green Dolphin Glow Siggs, and rigger 75' down w/ Glow Screwball

Great Night on the water, nice to fish in 1 fters for a change. A few bigger fish caught, including 1 guy who said he had a 30 lber, didn't see it though. On a side note, the perch fishing is great out of Holland right now. Everyone we talked to had limits. Next time we're taking perch rods.

I spend a lot of time salmon fishing, but thought with the perch report looking great, I may try that. Besides, I think it would be better to try that with the wife, a 4 year old, and a 2 year old before I try them trolling. Any recommendations to help catch a few?

I've never fished them before but the guys at American Tackle should give you a report and bait. They were right off the pier the other day. Look for a pack of boats.
