Hollandpiper
Spent the evening on the water with Tom (tgafish), my buddy Bo, & a young man (Andrew) from church. We set lines in 45 FOW SW of the pier @ ~6 p.m. The waves were a good 3 feet and building to 4. Our 1st 2 hours were spent finding a good troll, fighting changing wave direction and working out to 75 FOW. . . no fish. As the waves started laying down, we took 3 fish in the next 45 minutes - small Laker & 2 Kings. We then hit another another lull and then the fun began. We pulled the full copper earlier, on which we found the Laker, and set up a glow program 40 to 50 feet down. In the next hour, we went 5/6, ending the night on a double.Fish came on a variety of set-ups, but mostly a rigger & wire dipsey night, and 80 FOW was the key depth:Michael Jackson Flasher & a Glow Mirage Fly, wire out 147' on Mag dispey - 2 fishRigger down 57 feet & Blue Glow Frog Spoon5 color core & Gray Ghost PlugRigger down 37 & Moonshine Blue Flounder - 2 fish3 color core w/ 2 oz. drop weight & NBK - lost a high jumping Steelie 300 foot Copper & NBK - the Laker we were dragging aroundUnknown flasher/White Fly, wire out ~100' on dispey (Tom's side)It was great having fish on 4 lines after deciding to pull lines in 30 minutes. The kings ranged from 5 - 14 lbs, all nicely colored. Thanks for the great night on the water guys and we sent Andrew out east to college with a memorable night. He was a perfect 4/4 in landing his kings. Alex
