Nailer
We arived at Fishermans Landing around 7pm Friday and quickly made camp and set sail to the lake. The night started slow for us as we went out to 80' (way past the fish). We got to see a great Sun Set and ended the night 2 for 4. Both fish where landed an hour past dark, coming in on the moonshine super glows Saturday morning brought the sound of wind to the camper, so we decided to sleep in a bit. Did not set lines till 9 am north of the peer in 45' We hooked up right off the bat and landed a nice 15 pounder. Fish #2 and 3 came at noon as a dbl. header (Yea, 3 hours of nothing then two at once). Two more nice kings We landed one more soon after and picked it in at 1 pm, ending 4 for 4 . Saturday afternoon brought lots of wind and very bumpy lake conditions. We started at the peer and went straight into them due North. we picked up our first fish in 50' with the Sigs Fly back 100' on the high diver. we stayed on the North troll and picked away at them going 4 for 5. Sunday am brought calm seas. We started at 7 am in 45' with the same north troll. The first rod fired as i was setting the second one. The action stayed good till 9 am, as by then we had 7 in the box as well as loosing one other. The 1/2 core with the Night Crawler was th best set up taking 3 fish. 45-50 fow was great early. the down temp was 44 deg. at 40 feet down. I should have kept a log as remembering all the things that took fish remain a blur. Thanks to Mike (ghf) for the advice to use dikes to chop the fingers of any one that tighten the drags. Loose drags brought the landing percentage way up. Ken

GLF
Nice job Ken. I wish I would have stayed on the boat Saturday night and fished Sunday instead of heading home.

Kings Around
Fishing was much better in tight Friday night. Set up around 4:15 in about 50 FOW, promptly took a 5 or 6 lb laker heading north on a Nailer Mixed Veggies spoon. Turned around and headed back south toward the pier. Took a small 8 lb king in 48-50 foot on the troll back, then missed another one right in front of the pier. Continued south for about 1/2 mile with nothing going, so we switched around and headed back north and slid into 40 FOW. Rods lit up around 6:30 right in front. Was a blur for the next 45 min, but took 5 more kings (ranging from 13 - 19.2 lbs) in that time and lost 2 others. Wonderbread Glow butt plug went 2 times, Nailer Mixed Veggies went 2 times. Nailer Mashed Mahi Glow plug went 2 times. Nailer Blue Dolphin 1 time, other hits were on Green Spinny and Green fly. Fish came right off the bottom. Pulled lines and we back at dock by 7:45. Ended up 7 for 11.
