Satisfaxion_Gauranteed Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Ya, it doesn't look good. We tried last night based on the 1-3 building to 2-4 forecast, which turned out to be some huge 2-4's.Good luck fishing Saturday!--Jason

Tad Pole Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 I've been looking at the web cams now for over an hour and at times it looks flat calm but after looking longer i have noticed that there are some pretty good sized rollers out there, defiantly fishable but they are there none the less
GLF Posted August 10, 2008 Author Posted August 10, 2008 I've been looking at the web cams now for over an hour and at times it looks flat calm but after looking longer i have noticed that there are some pretty good sized rollers out there, defiantly fishable but they are there none the less I have watched it since 7:30am. It has been calm all morning. Looks like NOAA blew another one.
tltorrice Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 I was watching the Luddington Web Cam this morning and it didn't look bad. Lots of boats out fishing.
Paulywood Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 I checked the mid lake buoy off Little Sable point earlier and it showed 5.2 ft. waves with 21 knot winds. I wouldn't want to be out there with my boat.
pbrktrt Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 we went out Friday night after work & they were calling for 2-4's in Muskegon. they were probably 1 or less. beautiful night & took a triple on kings just south of the arms on a north troll & picked up another at dark in about the same place on a south troll. two on lead 10 color & 13 color & two on riggers 48 down. j-plugs have been hot. we've found that Noaa is just as reliable as local news. this is Michigan so i have to give them credit when they are correct. you just have to take the ride & see what your up against. if they are not coming over the bow in the channel we usually fish. i must add that the people fishing near us were true sportsmen as they gave us a wide berth when we hooked up on the triple. a polite request on the radio sometimes works wonders. sorry if this is in the wrong section, i'm kinda new here.
Paulywood Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 It's a little different for the League events when you 30 boats coming from as much as 2 hours away. You have to cancel when there's a small craft advisory.
DIRTY DOG Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 There was no need to worry to day ,i was at fishrmans landing and decided to sleep in do to the wave report, definently my bad , i got up around 7:30 and took a ride down to the beech and to my surprise the lake was completly flat and the wid was calm
Tad Pole Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 I just got back from a sunday drive out to holland it looked good this morning but right now its big out there good call Jimmy
Fishwhisperer Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 After getting blown off the lake Thursday night, I pretty much cancelled the rest of my trips. Looks like I missed out on some fishable conditions. My last five trips consisted of nothing less than four footers. I needed a break.
