Lowrance LCX - 18 Problem

HELP. I have a Lowrance LCX-18 that had worked perfectly up until last weekend. That is when when it blew the power fuse. I have checked power cord for nicks, I checked the voltage into the unit and it is 12V. The connections are clean. The unit continues to blow fuses. A friend of mine has the same unit on his boat, so I removed the unit and tried it there; it blew the fuse on his boat as well.

I contacted Lowrance and they told me that technology has made many changes and that they no longer had parts to repair that unit. (But they were more than willing to give me a rebate if i were to purchase a new item.)The unit is about 4 years old.

I am wondering if any of you know of a company that can service the LCX -18?
