Nailer Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 when running spinnies ie: Spin Doctors, what hole do most of you use? In the past I have always left it in the hole it came hooked to (the fin side). As August approaches and the fish get more aggressive would it be wise the use the faster action hole? Or is this just some thing you change around according to the bite pattern?Ken.
Billy V Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 First thing I do as soon as they come out of the package is switch that rear swivel to the "more action" hole. We never run them on the "less action" side.
CAC Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 Nailer,Thanks for the question. I have wondered about that too.
1mainiac Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 Have to agree with billy never saw a need for less bait action i like them working fast.
Priority1 Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 I mostly run the Fishcatchers (AKA Hootchie Mamas) but I also use the wildest hole. Looking back at that statement It looks like it could have come from an X rated site.
Satisfaxion_Gauranteed Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 I mostly run the Fishcatchers (AKA Hootchie Mamas) but I also use the wildest hole. Looking back at that statement It looks like it could have come from an X rated site. Now that's funny!
Just in time Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 I always use the side with the most action. I use 18 inch length on my flys and a 6 foot lead from my diver to attractor. Have been catching more with my dipseys than any other poles on the boat since the beginning of July.
Adam Bomb Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 Its funny how things differe amongst fisherman. I always run the fly in the fin hole. Our dipseys w/spinnes and flies are almost always our hottest presentation....Gotta love fishin'.
