Fishing Report Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 A few anglers out trolling in deeper waters were lucky enough to catch chinook salmon and a couple steelhead. Those fish were taken in 100 feet of water or deeper. Boat and pier anglers have started to catch some nice fish.
too deep Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 As of Saturday morning you wanted to be in the 50's from 70-220 foot of water.
Mark Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 Fished yesterday (25th) with Spoonfeeder. Tried going deep toward the point but no bites. Waves were still a little big and building so we set up at the pierheads and had two kings around 6 pounds, 25 and 16 down on fishcatcher/squid and blue Chilly. I will be there this weekend, but don't know much about fishing the area...any help would be appreciated. Also, what channel do they use down there?
too deep Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 Well I am probably going south again. They are pretty scattered right now. The stations you want to listen to are 68, 72 and the charters use 5 but you probably shouldn't tie that one up with chatter.
