Fishing Report Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 The recent front did slow fishing a bit, but the panfish are finally starting to heat up. Crappies are starting to bite on the east end of the lake off the fishing pier. Try jigs with minnows near dusk. Some are using a minnow under a bobber during the day while fishing from the pier south to the Library. Boat anglers should look for bluegills near the drop-offs. Northern pike are hitting bright colored plugs off Kenwood Park. Anglers are reminded that the early bass season is catch and release only, no kill.
