I am sure I have a setting with my laptop that is messed up... the video as it plays has a green layer over top if it. The sound works fine... just cant see it.

God I need to get out fishing I am jonesing just thinking about everything I want to try.

Last year being my first year since I was younger fishing my own boat on the big lake. I ran a little bit of everything. #1 J plug set up was a watermelon on a 3 color for steelies... I tried it and others all year with limited hits. I am no expert, but I like all body baits in the top 30 feet with spoons or spinnies and flies down lower.

.... What is the worst that can happen??? I know I have brought this up in the past, but I can not remember what was said. I was looking at Great Lakes Angler today page 4 and guy is using a spinnin with a silver screwball spoon. I am bound and determand to try this. Does anyone have any tips on making this work? I was thinking of using a smaller sized flasher and putting it on the bottom rigger with a moonshine spoon. The other rigger would be a spin doctor and fly. How far do you think I should spread them verticaly to make sure they do not tangle.

Old thread, but has anyone done well with a larger amount of core on the deep rigger in the deep water? Just sitting at the table thinking about fishing. Lets say a 5 or 7 color down 75 or 80.

Mike, I would love to take an afternoon and have you show me the ropes of tying flies. I will buy lunch:)

Even thought I just started this years... Blacck/silver/glow fly with a black/glow spin doctor was our hot ticket. in the off color section of spinnies and flies

Anyone do it in SW michigan.... Anyone do any good.. I am thinking of giving it a try. I have not done it since high school and I fished the same spot for years as I could sit in the cabin and watch the tip ups. So I have no real experance on doing it "for real" What lakes within a hour of holland are better then others.

Being our resident Surf/pier guy... I will share everything I know... I am still learning alot about the river. The only question you can not ask is "Can I take your wife out to dinner?" I have been looking for a couple of spoons that have worked in the past on other boats I have been on. The problem is I can not seem to find them. Monica (Not sure who makes it) Striker (Flinstone) If you have one or 2 your willing to give up please let me know.

Nick I used the DB on the small boat this year and I LOVE THEM!! I run 2 riggers 2 divers and 4 or six core rods One side gets a mono rod with a steelie bait, a full core and a full core with a 4 or 6 oz dive bomb the other side gets a 3 color 5 color and 10 color with a 3 oz dive bomb Riggers get a Moonshine founder pounder and a spinnie Divers get spinnies. Does anyone run spinnies on the core rods. lets say a 10 color with a dive bomb? I am soooo exited for nest summer.

GET OUT AND FISH... The fish are in each of the places listed above... 31 fish caught in the last 4 days:)

Took a trip to a SW beach this afternoon to take the dog for a swim... Needless to say I was kicking myself because the steel were crashing the beaches chasing bait.... I have 2 hours before class in the morning ... the truck is packed... will post after work.

Just a thought.... What if we could work something out with one of the lure companies for grab bags of "custom/test" spoons?? 5 dollar donation or something like that?

Fished a WSR and went 1-2 this morning;) Both steel Both on Pink spawn bag 1 was 16" the other was about 6 pounds.... to bad I hit him in the nose with the net.

I just bought the Lacross 5mm waders from Cabalas a few weeks ago. You can get fleece pants with sturpis in the same area for around 30 bucks add some under armor extreme and a set of rocky cold weather you will be as snug as bug in a rug in the cold.

GH north... but it depends on the hot bite ( I still chase steelhead around during the fall and winter:)

I have seen a decent number of fish in the river... Fresh ones too;) Worried, not really..... Concerned that my kids may not be able to fish salmon in 10-20 years yes. (that is if I have kids)
